Cable theft leaves Pimville without power as Eskom rushes to repair lines
A ward councillor confirmed Eskom is attending to a power cut in Pimville caused by stolen cables.
A cable theft incident in Pimville has left residents without electricity for the entire day after power went out in the early hours of September 16.
According to Ward 22 councillor Sebenzile Mabuza, Eskom confirmed that the outage was caused by cable theft.

“Eskom is attending to it. They are currently sourcing material from the stores and will begin repairs soon,” said Mabuza.
The restoration time has not yet been communicated.
