Local talent class contributes positively to the craft
Fourteen young storytellers were inducted into the (MTFza) alumni hall of fame after successfully being recognised at a graduation ceremony held at Fourways in Johannesburg.
The prestigious MultiChoice Talent Factory South Africa (MTFza) programme has been lauded for its continued contribution to South Africa’s film and television industry and stance in develop Africa’s creative industries into vibrant economic hubs.
Recently, Fourteen young storytellers were inducted into the (MTFza) alumni hall of fame after successfully being recognised at a graduation ceremony held at Fourways in Johannesburg.
The 2022 cohort joins a crop of bidding young film makers to transform the South African film and TV industry, delivering authentic and cutting edge local stories that reflect the lives of South Africans.

Each year as part of their internship, the MTFza interns get to produce four films, one of which was screened at the graduation ceremony. Each of these films are also broadcast on Mzansi Magic including Areyeng Jozi and YOLO which premiered on the channel in June.
“MTF is MultiChoice’s commitment to grow the film and broadcast industry and gives young Africans the chance to hone their television and film production skills through a world-class training program.”

To date, 100 students have been trained through MTFza.
The aspirant storytellers underwent twelve months of practical training to grow their passion for film and movie making. The year-long programme integrates specialist classes hosted by industry professionals and spend most of their time interning on current local productions.

The MTFza internship is accredited and all interns graduate with a qualification from Henley Business School, who provide a number of courses on business aspects as well as personal growth.
