Grid and boxing session held at local club

As a means of approaching summer in a pleasant manner, Awethu Fitness and Boxing Club recently hosted a grid and boxing session for different local gym goers in Protea Glen.

Awethu Fitness and Boxing Club director, Ntokozo Heathcote said the grid and boxing session is set to help local gym goers to learn different types of gym techniques as well as improving physically health.

At the aerobic session

“Today’s gym session was really thrilling because numerous gym instructors arrived to teach various forms of aerobics ranging from upper body to cardio. Boxing sessions were also held for anyone who was interested,” said Heathcote.

She added that it is critical for people to sustain health, mental acuity, and mobility. Various gym members will benefit positively as a result of the grid and boxing session.

“Usually most gym instructors do things their own way based on the gym techniques they master. So such sessions enables us to combine everything and teach each other broader gym techniques,” said one of the gym instructors, Domingo Mussanna.

During the boxing session

A number of people attended the session and all the attendees were excited to learn different types of physical gym techniques.

“I loved today’s session but it is very challenging. I’m seeing new and old gym techniques and I’m glad that the coaches are here to push us,” said an attendee, Hope Mase.
