Local business owners have an exploration in an expo

''The day was filled with a lot of business management and growth aspects such as compliance, funding and financial literacy."

Kasi Hustlers has announced the success of their business expo that saw local businesses gathered at the Diepkloof Hall to gain more knowledge about compliance this past weekend.

The event focused on exposing young business owners to networking opportunities and funding as well as to give an opportunity to learn about the importance of legal compliance and get to meet their potential clients and customers directly.

The platform provided exhibitors to exchange contacts and make direct sales.

Kasi Hustlers’ aspiring entrepreneur, Nolo Mogale said they would like to express gratitude to everyone who took their time to join them, especially their stakeholders, exhibitors and attendees.

”The day was filled with a lot of business management and growth aspects such as compliance, funding and financial literacy.”

We are hoping that through the event, aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners will be compliant in their businesses since we unpacked legal compliance from registering a company, to tax issues, opening a bank account, registering for Central Supplier Database and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment,” Mogale said.

She added that business owners are now equipped with knowledge on how to manage these aspects and they took the issue of compliance as far as having SARS representatives doing a practical presentation for creating a personal e-filing profile and linking their companies to that profile.

They also demonstrated how to submit tax returns and do a tax compliance status.

“Our stakeholders really came through for us and entrepreneurs. Standard Bank made a presentation on the importance of opening a business bank account and financial literacy to educate business owners more about financial management while Think Growth SA selected ten business owners who they are going to register their companies for free. We also hope to mentor them in partnership with City of Johanessburg Region D’s Alfred Sithole.”

“Going forward, we would like to encourage residents to participate in our future events so that they gain some sort of growth and knowledge.

Compliance was the first item on the list for the business expo.

Our events will also assist them to grow their contacts and connections and exhibitors are able to make direct sales.

“We will be doing evaluation and monitoring going forward so that we can help township based SMMEs to be compliant for them to be able to operate, apply for grant, funding, and bid for tenders.”
