Three men busted for drugs in Moroka following a tip-off

Suspects were arrested for possession of drugs valued at an estimated amount of R24 000.

Following a tip-off from the community, Moroka police arrested three men aged between 28 and 33 in Danny Kekane Street, Moroka on October 16.

The suspects were arrested for possession of drugs valued at an estimated amount of R24 000.

According to the SAPS Johannesburg District Corporate Communications, Captain Jeff Phora, preliminary police investigation indicates that the police were busy with their patrol duties when they received a complaint of three men selling drugs.

“Police swiftly responded to the complaint and, upon searching the premises, a large quantity of tablets suspected to be Mandrax was found,” said Phora.

Phora added that all three suspect were arrested for both dealing and possession and are expected to appear in court soon.
