Police bring law and order with Operation Skoonmaak in Eldos

In a successful operation, Eldorado Park police arrested 13 suspects on various charges during Operation Skoonmaak on November 6.
According to Sergeant Fezeka Khobo, the Eldorado Park SAPS media liaison officer, the suspects were apprehended for a range of crimes, including drug possession, assault, and firearms offences.
Breakdown of arrests
• Drug-related offences: Six suspects were arrested for possession of drugs, including Mandrax tablets and crystal meth.

• Assault and violence: Five suspects were arrested for assault with grievous bodily harm.
• Firearms offences: One suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm, while another was arrested for pointing a firearm.
• Property damage: One suspect was arrested for malicious property damage.
During the operation, police visited shopping centres and schools, searching 40 people and 13 vehicles.
The confiscated items included a revolver pistol firearm, Mandrax tablets, and crystal meth.
This operation demonstrates the Eldorado Park police’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety.
