Sechaba Sa Buswa collaborates with Soweto Theatre

Sechaba Sa Buswa collaborated with Soweto Theatre to launch its project that focuses on preserving Africa’s history and heritage, particularly in the arts industry.
Sechaba Sa Buswa was founded by Peter Sephuma, Arthur Molepo and Treasure Tshabalala, to name a few. Its focus is restoring theatre as an industry and a fundamental platform for artistic expression.

Peter Sephuma, founder of Sechaba Sa Buswa, said: “Together with Soweto Theatre, we are embarking on a journey to remind our communities of the power and beauty of live performance and the arts.

“This initiative is a game-changer because it will create opportunities for young artists.”
They also hope to engage the youth with their heritage through the arts, like storytelling, poetry, drama, dance, or music.
The acting general manager at Soweto Theatre, Franklin Ngcaba, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership.
“We are excited to collaborate with Sechaba Sa Buswa.
“This partnership is not just about performances; it is about nurturing talent and inspiring the next generation of artists,” said Ngcaba.

He added he hoped to create a platform that celebrates our heritage and showcases the incredible stories of our people.
A representative from the Social Department and the MEC were the key speakers.
They highlighted the importance of this partnership in fostering creativity and cultural vibrancy.
Sechaba Sa Buswa is more than just a production company; it is a community-driven initiative dedicated to showcasing local talent.
