Pimville NPO hopes to spread Christmas cheer to elderly
Help Rainbow Stars Youth Organisation's heartwarming Christmas project for Pimville senior citizens.
As the festive season approaches, the Rainbow Stars Youth Organisation (RSYO) is calling on the community to support their initiative to bring joy to elderly individuals in Pimville.
According to Lerato Radebe, founder of RSYO, the idea behind the project came from engaging with the elderly during their trip to Joburg Zoo, on October 25.
“We discussed with them and realised they no longer receive gifts or celebrate birthdays like they used to. We want to change that.”

The organisation aims to pack Christmas buckets with non-perishable food and toiletries for the elderly.
“Many spend Christmas alone. We want to make Christmas memorable for them,” Radebe said.
She emphasized that this is just the beginning, hoping to make it an annual event.
“We are starting small this year, but we envision growing and making a lasting impact.”
To support the cause, donations can be dropped off at 2501/2531, Magabe Street, Zone 2, Pimville.
Radebe’s appeal
“Join us in spreading love and kindness this Christmas. Your contribution, no matter how small, will bring smiles to the faces of our elderly.
