Soweto-born and popular singer passes away

This was after being admitted to hospital due to a short illness.

Veteran singer Winnie Khumalo passed away at the age of 51 after having been admitted to a Johannesburg hospital.

Her death follows after her daughter, Rethabile Khumalo, was hospitalised as well after an alleged poisoning incident by a friend last August.

Born and raised in Mofolo, North Soweto, she was introduced to music at the age of 15 and is well known for the hit I Just Wanna Live My Life.
