CoJ commends residents for active participation in IDP session
The City of Johannesburg Integrated Development Plan (IDP) session served as a crucial platform for residents to voice their priorities and concerns regarding the city’s development plans.

Speaker of Council Nobuhle Mthembu led the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) session for Region F at the Brixton MPCC on March 02.
The session drew a large turnout of residents eager to make submissions and engage with the City of Johannesburg’s leadership.
Various City departments and entities were on hand to engage directly with residents.

During the session, Executive Mayor Dada Morero delivered a presentation outlining the City’s plans for Region F.
The presentation highlighted key projects in the pipeline, including the rejuvenation of the inner city and its challenges.
The Speaker of Council commended residents for their active participation and discipline during the session, outlining the importance of public involvement in governance.
“I’m pleased to see residents taking these sessions seriously, as evidenced by the large turnout.”
She emphasised that the Legislature in the City of Johannesburg is committed to ensuring meaningful public participation where platforms such as the IDPs are enhancing public participation.

Residents are encouraged to have a say in how the City of Johannesburg is run.

IDP sessions will be held across all regions to ensure that every community has an opportunity to contribute to the city’s long-term development plans.
