Learners of Lulama Primary showered with donations

The organisations collaborated to support learners and promote education.

The Naomi’s Circle Hope Foundation and the Thy Kingdom Come Ministries International Church, in collaboration with ActionSA members, donated school uniforms and stationery to 42 learners at Lulama Higher Primary School in Klipspruit on April 16.

This generous act aimed to ease the financial burden on families and promote education. By providing essential school supplies, the organisations hope to empower learners to focus on their studies and reach their full potential.

“We donated school uniforms and stationery because we recognised the need to support less fortunate children.

“We believe in showing compassion and love by assisting others.

“We have been eager to visit this school and are delighted that we finally had the opportunity to do so,” said Joyce Ntombela, the Ward 25 ActionSA constituency chairperson in Pimville.

Sithembile Lucas Khumalo, the principal of Lulama Higher Primary School, said, “I feel like shouting from the rooftops and saying, ‘God is here in person’. I am thrilled that the church members donated school uniforms and stationery.

“This kind act will ensure learners who might have been tempted to stay home or drop out due to a lack of proper attire can now attend school with dignity and confidence, looking like their peers.”

According to Pamela Mohube, the church’s pastor, this was their first time donating to a school. However, they have a history of outreach, distributing food and clothing to those in need.
They plan to extend their support to additional schools in Soweto, continuing to make a positive impact on the community.
