Absa, Gautrain team up for unique race experience
This Heritage Month, South Africans can run with purpose in not one, but two world-class 10km events.
The Absa Run Your City Series, in partnership with the Gautrain, the official transport partner, will launch a special Absa Run Your City Heritage double entry fast-tracked by Gautrain.
The series includes two iconic events: the Absa Run Your City Tshwane 10km on August 24 and the Absa Run Your City Joburg 10km on September 24.
This initiative, made possible through partnerships, offers runners the chance to experience the energy, diversity, and excitement of two world-class 10km road races.

“By entering the Tshwane and Joburg events, participants celebrate SA’s rich heritage in two iconic cities just weeks apart,” said Michael Meyer, the managing director of Stillwater Sports and the series founder.

“While both events deliver the high-quality experience the series is known for, each race offers its own atmosphere, character and route, making every step memorable. Runners will enjoy a premium experience at a discounted entry fee.
“Each entrant will receive an impressive goodies bag, including an event performance T-shirt, a pair of Versus socks, a peak cap and a drawstring bag from Absa, an exclusive Absa Run Your City Heritage performance T-shirt, Gautrain arm warmers, fast-tracked registration at both race pack collections and complimentary Gautrain transportation on race day for both events – just a few of the highlights.”
As the Absa Run Your City Series official transport partner, the Gautrain provides entrants with a reliable, efficient and safe travel option.
