Sio curates winter playlist for populer digital steaming platform

South African singer, poet, and musician Sio has been named curator of Apple Music’s Winter Warmers playlist, adding a heartfelt layer to the seasonal soundtrack with a selection of emotionally resonant songs designed to bring warmth and introspection during the colder months.

Known for her genre-blending sound—fusing house, electronic, soul, and dance—Sio has become one of South Africa’s most powerful musical voices. Her poetic lyricism and unique vocal tone have garnered both local and international acclaim.

The Reverse Flight hitmaker is also the lead vocalist and founder of Project X (formerly Project 5).

This announcement comes ahead of the release of her highly anticipated sophomore album, SIGMA, due out on June 27 via STY TRU BTS, the sister label to Stay True Sounds.

Recorded in collaboration with producer Tesfa Williams at Strong Room Studios in Shoreditch, London, the project was written and completed in just four days.
