Clinix celebrates 13 years with school shoe donation to Meadowlands learners

Clinix marked its 13th anniversary by donating school shoes to 42 pupils at Rebongwe Primary School in Meadowlands, many of whom come from child-headed households and low-income families.

As part of their Meadowlands Zone 9 shoe drive project, Clinix Health Group celebrated its 13th anniversary on June 25 by donating school shoes to 42 Rebongwe Primary School pupils.

The Clinix Health Group originated from Clinix, Tshepo Themba Private Hospital in Meadowlands.

The learners, selected from all grades, come from underprivileged homes that often struggle to afford the necessities.

Teachers of Rebongwe Primary and the Clinix Health Group are ready to hand over school shoes to the learners.

Some parents of the children who received the shoes were invited to witness the donation, giving them an opportunity to show gratitude and share in the joy of giving.

Dr Lukhanya Mavuya, a medical officer at Clinix Tshepo Themba Hospital, said, “We recently started this shoe drive project, which is close to the heart of our CEO, Dr Khamane Obed Peter Matseke.

“As this is a no-fee-paying school with some of the greatest needs in our community, we decided to celebrate our anniversary by donating to them.”

Tshepo Mngomezulu, principal of Rebongwe Primary, said, “We are proud and grateful that Clinix Health Group saw potential in our school.

“Through this donation, our learners will benefit and hopefully achieve excellent results.

“Most of the learners selected were orphans, some from child-headed households, and others from families dependent on social grants.”

One parent, Mary Diphoko, said she was thankful for the school shoes her child received.
