School transport association gives back to the community of Orlando, Soweto

De Porres Scholar Transport Association donates toilet papers and sanitary pads to St. Martin de Porres High School, showing their commitment to learners’ well-being.

After 16 years of transporting learners from St Martin de Porres High School, the De Porres School Transport Association (DPSTA) gave back to the school on August 20 by donating toilet paper and sanitary pads to assist the learners.

The DPSTA, which transports learners from across Soweto, consists of 21 members.

They approached the school to identify its greatest need and decided to use their own money to give back.

According to Mbuso Sithole, the PRO of DPSTA, this initiative aims to prove to parents that their money goes beyond transportation.

“We want parents to show that we care about their children. By giving back to the school, we know these goods will assist many learners.”
