Local learners receive full school uniform
The donation was aimed at breaking down barriers to education, boosting learners’ confidence, and promoting equality in the classrooms.
The Home of M3 School Wear donated full school uniforms to 15 underprivileged learners at Braamfischerville Primary School on September 15.
The donation was aimed at breaking down barriers to education, boosting learners’ confidence, and promoting equality in the classrooms.
Speaking to Urban News, the founder of the schoolwear company, Maureen Mashapha, said there are many needy learners at local schools, and as a company, they are doing their best to assist, ensuring that every learner looks the same.

“We are donating full school uniforms to learners from disadvantaged families. So far, we have provided uniforms to 15 learners and are working to reach even more across different schools.
“We are deeply grateful to the principal for allowing us to support the learners as we start our mission to give back to the community and assist parents in need, while also inspiring others to join us in creating opportunities and hope for these children’s future,” she said.

Mashapha further stated that she wants every learner to attend school comfortably, looking like other children, ensuring that no home circumstances determine a learner’s education. She said she is striving to make all learners happy.

Thabang Chauke, whose child received a uniform, said the donation means a lot because many parents cannot afford to buy uniforms for their children as they are unemployed.
“We are grateful for this gesture; many of us feel relieved. It is not nice seeing our children going to school in casual clothes or worn-out uniforms, and sometimes it is even hard to identify which school they attend.
“This donation will not only restore their confidence and sense of belonging but will also ease the burden on struggling parents, and for that, we are truly thankful to everyone who made it possible,” she said.
SGB chairperson, Nomacala Ntshingila, said the kind of support that the school has received makes a difference in both the learners’ education and their self-esteem.
“We are very grateful to the company for thinking of our school. This donation will make a huge difference for many learners, as some do not have proper school uniforms, and this generous effort will help ensure that every learner feels equal,” she said.
