Soweto woman empowers 6 000 through Bontle Buhle Brands
Distributor Lipolelo Semppe says the direct selling company helped her rise from unemployment to success — and today, she has empowered more than 6 000 people through her distribution network.
Bontle Buhle Brands (BBB) is changing lives in Soweto by creating jobs, equipping residents with vital skills and driving the fight against unemployment in SA.
Over the past 27 years, the direct selling company has created jobs for thousands, empowering people to grow from consultants to managers and distributors, while building valuable skills for more opportunities for them.
BBB distributor Lipolelo Semppe, who lives in Protea North, shared with the Urban News how the company had transformed her life, outlined the milestones she achieved through its support, and highlighted how it continues to empower others today.

Semppe said that when she joined the company 27 years ago, she was jobless and struggling to support her children.
“A friend introduced me to the company many years ago when I was unemployed. I started as a consultant, where I learnt to navigate the ups and downs of the business. In a short time, I was promoted to manager, earning a better income,” she said.
Semppe said her goal was to give her children a good education, and through BBB, she achieved this. Her children are now educated and independent.
Currently a distributor, Semppe has created jobs for more than 6 000 people, providing opportunities and hope to the underprivileged and unemployed.

“I have many managers and consultants under me across Soweto. Through my distribution network, I have helped over 6 000 families put food on their tables, which I consider a significant achievement, especially given the challenges the government faces in addressing this need,” she said.
She added that he company had created many opportunities for those with nothing, helping them achieve sustainable livelihoods.

She said the company plans to employ even more people to combat poverty and provide better living conditions.
Speaking to the Urban News, BBB consultant Robert Ngathi said he was grateful for the opportunity to work with BBB, saying the company had provided him with an income and equipped him with valuable skills.

“I am grateful to Semppe for seeing potential in me. The company found me at my lowest point and allowed me to earn an income.
“Today, I can provide for my family and take care of my own needs, and for that, I am truly thankful,” said Ngathi.
