An Eldorado Park man has been arrested after allegedly confessing to stabbing his own brother to death in Ismail Albertyn Crescent, Extension 6, on September 22.

According to Eldorado Park SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Fezile Khobo, tracing unit members were conducting routine duties when they received a complaint at around 6pm.

On arrival, officers found a man lying on his back in the yard with visible stab wounds.

A knife was in his right hand and a blunt aluminium object lay near his feet.

Another man, sitting on a street drainage cover nearby, admitted to the killing.

“The suspect’s hands and clothes were covered in blood,” Khobo said.

The motive for the attack remains unknown.

The 41-year-old suspect was detained at Eldorado Park SAPS and will appear in court soon.
