SASSA confirms R10 social grant increase for October
Social grant amounts will rise by R10 in October, ensuring all beneficiaries receive payments on time.
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed that social grant amounts will increase in the October payment cycle.
This adjustment follows an earlier announcement by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana during the 2025/ 26 Budget Speech, which outlined a significant social grant increase from April 1 and a smaller increase from October 1.
From October, all social grant amounts will increase by R10.
SASSA CEO Themba Matlou welcomed the increase, describing it as a crucial measure to support beneficiaries.
