“On Friday, after the school assembly, Ntokozo went to the restroom, where the Grade Nine learner followed him and started a fight with him.
“When Ntokozo defended himself, the learner said, ‘You are fighting while we are reprimanding you,’ and then pulled out a knife and stabbed my son,” said Ntokozo’s mother.
Ntokozo was rushed to the hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU and was discharged on February 8.
Patience Linda told the media that she wants the learner who almost killed her son to face the full might of the law, and has urged law enforcement to act swiftly and ensure the safety of other learners.
Following the attack, learners at the school launched a petition calling for the removal of the principal, claiming that the school’s leadership failed to act appropriately.
