Local hairstylist celebrates salon makeover after national competition win

As the winner of the hair brand competition hosted in 2025, the salon was one of the deserving winners.

In November 2025, ORS Olive Oil Hair launched a nationwide salon makeover competition, giving salon owners the opportunity to transform their businesses.

To qualify, salons purchased three ORS professional salon- size products, and the winners were independently selected through a comprehensive audit conducted by external auditors. Peter, a local hairstylist, was one of the deserving winners of the exciting initiative.

Peter Kheola, owner of Peter’s Hair & Nail Beauty Salon, shared that he ventured into the hair industry in 2001.

“I was passionate about the artistry of giving someone what they envisioned.

‘’I have always used ORS hair products, and I would say this was divine timing, an opportunity for my salon to grow and make my clients feel good before we even render any form of service to them.’’

More than just a makeover, the space has been designed to reflect the essence of the ORS brand, ‘’creating a welcoming environment where clients can relax, enjoy professional hair care services, and discover premium ORS products.’’

Hairstylist at Peter’s salon, Neo Khumalo, told Urban News that he is excited to work in the new space. He is grateful for the opportunity and will bring more customers and growth for the salon.

The salon received a new coat of paint, both inside and outside, and equipment and furniture.
Kheola expressed gratitude that they have been chosen for this heartwarming gesture.
