Human remains recovered in Mofolo
The remains are said to have been found in an open field, and an inquest has been opened.
An inquest has been opened after human remains were discovered in Mofolo, Soweto, on September 15.
The remains were found in an open space close to Othandweni Children’s Home.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this stage,” said Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, SAPS spokesperson.

Police said forensic tests will be conducted to determine the identity, gender and age of the deceased as investigations continue.
