Kiddies Hope Academy turns young dreams into flight paths
Through its aviation-themed lessons, the Dobsonville academy is helping children connect learning with real-world careers — showing them that education truly makes dreams take flight.
The Dobsonville-based Kiddies Hope Academy (KHA) continues to shine through its innovative education initiatives that promote career guidance from an early age.
The academy’s approach to learning goes beyond the classroom, giving children practical exposure to different careers.

In recent months, the school’s Future Pilots Programme has centred on aviation and helicopter operations.
Learners participated in educational tours to learn about helicopters, aeroplanes and the aviation industry.
These experiences aimed to prepare them for upcoming trips to Durban, Gqeberha, Cape Town and East London, where they will experience an actual flight and interact with pilots and cabin crew.

This year, 98 children will graduate from the academy and move on to various primary schools to continue their academic journeys.
The Kiddies Hope Academy will host its 2026 enrolment day at its main campus, 32 Motsiame Street, Dobsonville, on November 1.
Parents wishing to enrol children aged two to five years are encouraged to attend between 09:00 and 13:00, and must bring original copies of their IDs and their child’s birth certificate. The day is for enrolments only.
Coach Xolani Sithole explained that the academy’s goal is to help children discover their potential by exposing them to different careers from a young age.
“We work with various stakeholders to teach children about different professions, from petrol attendants to law enforcement officials.

“Our goal is to push education beyond the classroom, so that children understand what their parents do daily and appreciate that every job is important,” said Sithole.
He added that the Future Pilots Programme introduces children to the aviation sector and its many opportunities.
“From an early age, our learners are introduced to aeroplanes and interact with real pilots and cabin crew. This creates lifelong memories, builds long-term educational awareness and inspires future career choices,” Sithole concluded.
