Emshukantambo Secondary shows improvement in matric results

The class of 2025 bagged 91 bachelors, 58 diplomas and 34 certificate passes.

Emshukantambo Secondary School in Pimville is in high spirits as they celebrate the huge improvement in its matric pass rate.

With the passing rate of 88.83%, the Class of 2025 has attained 91 bachelors, 58 diplomas and 34 certificates.

Deputy principal of ESS, Zukiswa Mdletye, shared that they are beyond ecstatic about the improvement of the pass rate.

“A lot of work has gone into these results, like our camps where our teachers dedicated their time to ensure that our learners pass well to be able to further their studies,” said Mdletye.

One of the top 10 learners who attained a Bachelor’s degree pass, Aphelele Chapi, said: “The journey has not been easy at all, the cross-night sessions and sleeping at 04:00 were challenging; however, today we reap and what we sowed.”

She added that she has applied to most tertiary institutions for medicine and nursing and looks forward to tertiary studies and the start of independence.

The well-performing subjects are Geography and Life Orientation with 18 distinctions.

HOD of Life Orientation, Nonhlanhla Makhoba, congratulated the Class of 2025, wishing them a prosperous journey in their endeavours.
