Eugene Khoza hosts second one-man show

Eugene Khoza’s one-man show ‘Pardon Me’ will hit Gold Reef City on November 8 and 9.

Eugene Khoza’s one-man show ‘Pardon Me’ will hit Gold Reef City on November 8 and 9.

This will be his second one-man show in a year because he does not want to keep his fans waiting.

“I can’t keep my fans waiting for a year, that is why I decided to have two shows this year,” Khoza said.

Besides wearing different clothing, Khoza says that his latest show is different because it will be interactive show where he will connect with his fans and “have a chat”.

“There is so much that has happened in South Africa since my last show and because of that I have much more to talk about,” Khoza said.

Khoza’s career as a comedian started in 2005 and says the only difference from then is that he is eight years older.

He says that he doesn’t think confidence has anything to do with his success but it is his faith that carries him. Khoza says he is trying to bring a culture where artists are celebrated.

“I am trying to embrace my fans because I don’t think they expect to be disappointed,” Khoza said.

He knows his crowd by their reaction to his jokes. He is aware that comedians talk about the same topics, almost all of the time, but it is the personality of a comedian and the way they communicate that makes them different.

“Our point of view can’t be copied and I have never experienced the risk of my opinion being copied by another comedian,” said Khoza.

Apart from being the only comedian to have two one-man shows in a year, Khoza is planning on having the biggest venue for a comedy session.

“Next year this time I want to host a comedy show at the biggest venue.

“Even if three people attend, I can say that I done it,” Khoza said
