Springs in the lead
The Springs team, competing in the Caxton Reynolds Race, have won this week’s leg of the race.
Marisa and Dennis Williams were the first participants to get to the Voortrekker Monument in Brakpan and send in their photo of themselves at the monument – doing so within half an hour of receiving the first clue in the race.
The pressure is now on for all the other teams to stake their claim in what is promising to be an exciting adventure for every participant.
The Williams’ won a R5 000 voucher from Hirsch’s Boksburg for taking pole position this week (gaining 12 points) and are eager to stay in the lead and win the fantastic prize, a Mauritius holiday, sponsored by Springs’ SA Reynolds Travel Centre.
Each newspaper has chosen a charity who will benefit if that paper’s team wins the race at the final in September. Our team is racing in aid of House of Hope.
