Exciting racing ahead
Rock Raceway will hold their very first Oval Circuit Speed Weekend Sprint Cup Challenge and Champ of Champs event on August 9 and 10.
On the Friday the club competitors will have an opportunity to set the fastest lap records in each class in the Sprint Cup Challenge with floating trophies going to the winners in each class.
The objective is to see which club will obtain the most records set at Rock Raceway.
Each driver will also qualify for the Champ of Champs event that will be held the next day.
Everyone’s favourite classes will be in action, including Kids in Racing SA, 125cc Shifter Karts, Pinto Class, Super Saloons, Formula 2 Midgets, V8 Flexis and V8 Thunder Sprints open Wheelers.
On Friday and Saturday practice and documentation will take place from 10am to 1:30pm for all competitors.
Gates will open for spectators at noon.
Entry is R40 per car with four people, more than four people per car will cost R10 extra per person.
Champ of Champs racing will start at 2pm on the Saturday.
Refreshment will be on sale.
Entry is R60 for adults and children aged six to 12 is R30.
