HeatherBEEliners have done it again
Five line dancing teachers in the East Rand participated in the United Kingdom's Dance Council teachers international diploma in South Africa recently.
The international teaching diploma allows for these teachers to teach, scrutinize and judge internationally. The course took about 16 months and was judged by two of the United Kingdom Dance Council’s top teachers Richard Williams and Donna Clarkson, who came to South Africa to adjudicate the exams.
Jenny Caldwell, Heather Bendeman, Leeanne Berry and Debbie Muller are teachers from the HeatherBEEliners dance school in Springs, while Lana le Roux is from Boksburg.
Jenny Caldwell instructs a beginner class and has started a senior’s exercise and seniors line dance class.
Heather Bendeman is the ‘mommy’ of the family, who started the school 7 years ago and instructs the step class. She will soon start teaching line dancing at the aftercare class at Selpark School.
Lana le Roux achieved the highest marks and will be teaching at the primary schools in Nigel and Heidelberg.
Leeanne Berry left for the UK this week to participate in the world championships held in Blackpool. She instructs the intermediate class and has a kids class on a Saturday.
Debbie Muller has been with Heather from the opening of the school and instructs beginner and intermediate level.
Heather will start a new beginner class on September 7.
