Fun with Hannon

A Corporate Women’s Day function held at Little Paradise recently was a great success.

Anita Greeff, administration manager at the Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce (EGCCI) and Rene Venter co-owner of Little Paradise, came up with the idea to rather have a Corporate Day instead of Secretaries Day.

Secretaries, personal assistants, owners and female staff from various local businesses attended the function.

According to Mary Reynolds, vice-president of the EGCCI, corporate women should also get a chance to relax and they got the chance at this special day.

With summer and bikinis on many of the women’s minds, Dr Gideon van Zyl shared his knowledge of a healthy way of losing weight.

“Every woman has a dream of their next step into losing weight, but fat is so complicated,” said Dr Gideon, before giving the women a run down of what they can do to shed those extra kilos.

Glam Guru Hannon Bothma was also present and he turned a couple of the women in the audience into princesses.

“Every woman has a beauty in her own right,” said Hannon, before talking about beauty and how a woman can be beautiful at any age.

Tsepang Mathebula, a metro intern currently doing her internship at the Business Linkage Centre, was one of the chosen ones to experience the exact meaning of ‘beautiful’.

She was given a new look by Hannon, with make-up and a new hairdo.

“I look very sexy and at the time I got home, my mother couldn’t stop taking photos of me,” said Tsepang the next day.

Janine Hutton from Element Six was also one of the lucky women who received a makeover and everybody complimented her on her make-up and new hairstyle.

The special day was rounded off with a scrumptious lunch, which was a gift a working woman can truly appreciate.
