Young man found dead
A young man aged between 19 and 25 was found in a public toilet cubicle outside Rebel in Geduld on Friday.
Tinus Scheepers, an employee says he found the toilet door locked last Thursday and reported the matter to his employer, who said if the door was still locked in the morning, he should break the window.
He adds after breaking the window at 7am on Friday, he saw a man lying on the floor.
He immediately reported the matter to his employer who contacted the police.
Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora says the police arrived at the scene at 8:15am, they found the door of the toilet locked.
They had to break open the door and in the toilet they found a man lying on the floor.
Paramedics declared him dead on the scene.
“The cause of death is unknown as the postmortem report is not yet available,” concludes Capt Ramphora.
