Festive lunch at Esda

The frail care residents, as well as some of the retirement village residents, joined together for a final, end of year festive lunch organised by the staff of the centre.

The entertainment for the day was provided by Pierre du Preez who sung all the Golden Oldies, both English and Afrikaans for the residents to enjoy and sing along to.

“The Cake Decorators Guild of South Africa donated a beautiful Chirstmas cake for us to raffle off. We have a resident here who has to walk on his knees and he desperately needs special shoes so we will use the money from the raffle for him,” says Esda staff member, Petro Burr-Dixon.

The residents were treated to a wonderful three course lunch and some gifts were given out as well.
