Mandy chooses Springs SPCA

Ex Springsite Mandy-Lee Bamford was nominated by her friends to participate in the Neknominate game.

Instead of doing the drinking side of the game, she decided instead to do something for a charity, and her charity of choice was the Springs SPCA.

Last Wednesday Mandy-Lee visited the Springs SPCA to make her video for the Neknomination game and to hand over what she had collected for the animals.

“She brought a variety of things that we use every day, for example dishwashing liquid, washing powder, treats for the animals, tinned food for kittens and puppies, to mention but a few,” says Debbie Miller SPCA fundraiser

She adds they would like to thank Mandy-Lee for choosing to do something good and for choosing them.

Info

Neknominate, also known as neck and nominate or neck nomination, is an online drinking game.

The original parameters of the game required the participant to film themselves drinking a pint of an alcoholic beverage, usually beer, in one gulp and upload the footage to the web.

The participant then nominates two others to do the same, although a third nomination has become commonplace. The nominated person has to complete the task within 24 hours.

Neknominate has been changed by some (particularly in South Africa) from a drinking game into a challenge to perform random acts of kindness for others.
