A tree stump in Knecht Avenue, Selection Park, was left behind by metro workers.
About two years ago the metro allegedly cut down a tree due to its roots interfering with either the water or sewage pipes.
Resident Stuart McStay says after metro workers cut down the tree, they pulled what was left of it out, roots and all.
“But they left this stump on the sidewalk and half in the road,” he adds.
It has been lying there for almost two years and McStay’s concern is that if motorists drive around the corner they might hit the stump.
At the time of going to press no comment was received from the metro.
