FERH says bring back the girls

The location of where the girls are kept is unknown

The Far East Rand Hospital (FERH) has joined the millions of people worldwide fighting against the abduction of the young schoolgirls in Nigeria.

In what can only be described as a horrific act of terrorism, the staff at FERH are saying enough is enough.

The girls were taken on April 14, from a boarding school in the northern town of Chibok.

Boko Haram, an Islamic militant group of terrorists, abducted more than 200 girls and threatened to sell them to an extremist Nigerian Islamic group nearly two months ago.

According to news reports, an estimated 200 heavily armed militants arrived at night in 20 vehicles to steal supplies and kidnap the students. It has now released a video showing 136 of the girls.

The location of the girls is currently unknown.

Dr Lekopane Mogaladi, CEO of FERH, says the matter is tragic and he hopes that the girls will be released.

“Matters like these touch the very essence of the souls of our communities and the world, we as a hospital would like to show that we too stand with the world against this,” he adds.

Staff members from different departments at the hospital gathered for prayers to support the campaign.

Celebrities all over the world have joined in the campaign with signs and posters with the words, “Bring Back our Girls”.
