Dudley Palmer, a member of the club, discovered this when he and friends were cycling between the N17 Highway and Pollak Park Golf Club.
“It was impossible to pass due to the sewage running freely in the whole area,” says Dudley.
Heading from one sewage pool to the next proved a challenge in itself as little streams of sewage made it impossible to cross.
“It looks like the municipality was in the process of some type of fixing, as there are some structures in place, but it was left in the condition it was in,” says Dudley.
He says it has been left like that for a while and it doesn’t look like they are currently busy with any repairs.
“Anyone with a sense of smell will be able to smell it.”
The Addie has sent enquiries to Ekurhuleni but had not received any response at the time of going to print.
