Selcourt Enclosure “raided”

Hallowe'en is not only for Americans and people overseas.

A large group of Springs residents took to the streets on Friday night at Selcourt Enclosure.

The children were dressed up as all sorts of creative monsters or cute fairies.

Not only were children vampires or witches, but the parents also joined in the fun and dressed for the occasion.

While their children were running around, trick-or-treating the residents of Selcourt, parents were patiently sitting in their vehicles, waiting for the sugar rush to die down and putting exhausted children in the car.

October 31 is internationally celebrated as Hallowe’en and has never been a major event in South Africa.

Springs children and parents proved this wrong through the successful event which unfolded on Friday evening.
