Welfare’s food is finished

They urgently need donations.

The Springs and KwaThema Child Welfare is in dire need of food.

Sanet van Moerkerken, programme manager says they have to turn people away because their food store is empty.

They feed and help between 30 and 40 people per month, giving them food and other necessities.

They urgently need tinned food and food such as soup powder, pastas, rice and porridge, specially for people who don’t have refrigerators.

The organisation, according to Sanet, also needs baby milk, clothes and nappies.

Anything of value such as linen and electrical appliances in working order are also welcome to help people in need.

They also need volunteers’ help, such as Deon Wattrus who keeps the organisation’s garden clean.

Call the welfare’s office on 011 812 2345 if you want to contribute or help in any way.
