Samaritans give helping hand for Mandela Day

The Springs Youth Crime Prevention Desk and the Springs SAPS contributed their 67 minutes for Mandela Day on Friday, July 17, by assisting the Springs Care Community Centre in painting, cleaning and making up food parcels for the needy.

Project 3588 caters to feed school children during school holidays.

Chanré van der Merwe, CEO of Springs Care Community Centre, says these children do not get food during the holidays and this is what the project aims to do.

The food parcels of this project are distributed to various schools in Springs.

This Mandela Day project was an initiative of the Springs Care Community Centre.
