The top two rows of prefab slabs of the Geduld Cemetery were removed in Market Road of the running parallel to Paul Kruger Highway.
Themba Gadebe, metro spokesperson, says the wall is vandalised by the squatters living in the old building within the cemetery.
“They are using the prefab slabs as room dividers,” he says.
Gadebe also states they plan on replacing the prefab slabs as well as fixing the damaged wall next to the gate.
Brendan Howie says it is a good thing to replace the slabs, but how will the metro prevent it from being stolen again?
