JUST IN: No water for certain Springs areas, repairs in progress

Repairs are underway to restore water supply to parts of Springs.

Ekurhuleni metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe says technicians are currently working around the clock to repair a burst water pipe in Dersley Park.

“The pipe feeds water to Modder East, Eastvale, Dersley Park, Alliance Extension 1 and parts of Kingsway,” he says.

“The metro wishes to apologise for the emergency water supply interruption affecting Springs residents since the early hours of yesterday morning.”

Water tankers have been dispatched to the affected areas to provide relief to residents during the interruption.
