Vandals slowly destroying boundary wall at Bakerton Cemetery

Ward councillor Ramesh Sheodin says: “The Bakerton Cemetery was enclosed in 1996/1997 financial year at my request when I was the ward councillor.

“About four years go the precast walling was repaired.

“It needs to be repaired again.

“The falling trees have once again damaged the precast walling.

“I am communicating with the cemetery department.

Previously the tombstones have been vandalised due to the easy access when the precast walls are breached.”
