Station commander meets with Daggafontien informal settlement community

The purpose of the meeting was to address various crimes which have taken place in the area.

Station commander of Springs SAPS Brig Thembeka Gwebushe, communication officers, social crime prevention and sector managers met with residents of the Daggafontein informal settlement last Tuesday.

The purpose of the meeting was to address various crimes which have taken place in the area.

Gwebushe requested the community to build a working relationship and partnership with the police in combating crime.

She encouraged members of the community to participate within the structure of their local CPF and to come forward to report any crime or criminal activities.

Members of the community were happy about the response from the station commander and her commitment to fighting crime in the area and her pledge to restore peace in the precinct of Daggafontein.
