A man was hijacked last Friday afternoon on 2nd Avenue.
The victim was driving with his cousin when they decided to stop at a tuck shop to buy cigarettes and airtime.
While the victim’s cousin was in the shop, he was approached by a suspect who asked him where he was going.
After informing the suspect he was on his way to Delmas, the suspect revealed he was also on his way to Delmas and asked for a lift.

The suspect then went to fetch his friend and together they got into the car.
After they left the tuck shop, the two suspects took out their weapons and made the victim drive around.
The victims were eventually dropped off in Selection Park and the suspects took the driver’s shoes and cellphone.
The victim’s car was worth R200 000.
No one was injured during the course of the robbery.
