Three suspects robbed a tuck shop in Everest informal settlement in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The suspects arrived at the shop and one of them asked the lady if they could buy vetkoeks.
After the lady opened the door to let the men in, one of the suspects pulled out a firearm and demanded money from her.

The lady screamed and a neighbour who was sleeping nearby came to assist and the suspect fired his weapon and the neighbour was shot in the pelvic area.
The suspects fled after the man was shot but community members chased them down and managed to apprehend the suspect.
The suspect is now in custody and the victim is at the Far East Rand Hopsital.
