Siyabonga Africa wash the feet of the needy

This time, the NPO was engaged in foot washing as part of Mandela Day on Fourth Street.

Siyabonga Africa were once again seen helping out in the streets of Springs.

This time, the NPO was engaged in foot washing as part of Mandela Day on Fourth Street.

Residents sat down where the kind people of Siyabonga Africa cleaned and sponged down their feet and legs.

CEO of Siyabonga Africa Sarah-Jane Brink says: “There are many social ills in this area.

“We have many homeless people here who are involved in drugs and prostitution and we want to say to them that they aren’t invisible and that there are people who care about them.”

She adds: “Many of them don’t have shoes or their shoes are broken and we are just here to help and clean them.”

Siyabonga Africa is heavily involved in the Springs community and aim primarily at helping the homeless and those with drug and alcohol problems.

The NPO helps addicts get clean by getting them into rehab programmes.
