Springs CPsF meet with Springs police
Gwebushe reminded everyone present that they had a lot of work ahead of them as Mawela had given them six months to improve their crime statistics from the beginning of August.

The Springs CPsF met with the Springs police and the EMPD last Thursday evening at the Springs Police Station.
A hot topic was the issue of 10111, which, according to Springs CPF chairperson Barend van Heerden, has not been working as it should.
“There was an incident in Endicott where the lady called four times, but nobody answered.
“Eventually, I gave her my phone to phone from and she tried three times, before she got through.
“Once the information was passed on to the Springs police, their response was fantastic and were there in good time,” says van Heerden.

Although the Springs police are not in charge of 10111, they agreed to look into why it hasn’t been working as well as it should.
Additionally, van Heerden asked for the 10177 number to be taken off the system as it doesn’t work.
Springs SAPS station commander Brig Thembeka Gwebushe passed on the positive feedback from Gauteng police commissioner Lt-Gen Elias Mawela regarding the imbizo last month, which was a huge success.
Gwebushe reminded everyone present that they had a lot of work ahead of them as Mawela had given them six months to improve their crime statistics from the beginning of August.
