R2 000 taken from Eastvale home

The suspects ordered the woman to keep quiet and led her back to the bedroom where they tied the couple up with an electric cable and then ransacked the house.

An Eastvale woman woke up to find two suspects in the kitchen on Saturday morning, says Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.

The woman heard a noise coming from somewhere in the house. When she went to investigate, she found two armed suspects in the kitchen.

The suspects ordered her to keep quiet, and led her back to the bedroom where they tied the couple up with an electric cable and then ransacked the house.

After the suspects fled, the husband discovered they had taken a television, R2 000 in cash and cellphones.

No injuries were reported and no shots were fired during the robbery.
