Shoppers delight in bargains on Black Friday
From around 11.30pm, shoppers were already lined up outside the store, all eager to get their hands on their favourite goods.
Shoppers woke up in the middle of the night to get the best bargains for Black Friday.
For the dedicated individuals, this started at midnight with the opening of Game at the Springs Mall.

Many were gunning for electronics and homeware.
Themba and Nqobi Zwane bought a stove, microwave and a lawnmower.
“We got all of this on special, so it worth coming here,” says the couple.

Another satisfied shopper was Katlego Mokgwatsana who told The Addie she wanted to buy a laptop as she stood in the queue before the opening of the store.
Later on in the night, she revealed she got her laptop and the discount she got on it was worth waiting for in the queue.
There was heavy police presence as well as private security mingling with the customers and keeping an eye on things.
At 7am, a few more stores opened, such as Pick n Pay and Checkers.
Although the mall was busy, it was peaceful.
There were no stampedes, fighting or looting taking place.

In the CBD, it was also full of people eager to spend their money.
Centres like The Avenues and Palm Springs were busier than usual, especially the food and clothing stores stores.
EMPD and police vans were seen patrolling the streets throughout the morning.
