Elderly gets a wheelchair

Councillor pulls some strings to help Sharon.

Councillor Faeeza Chame donated a brand-new wheelchair to an elderly by the name of Sharon Pienaar.

The 60-year-old woman from South Hills has been in desperate need of a wheelchair for some time.

Sharon has been visiting the local clinic begging them to assist her with a wheelchair and home visitation.

Chame said she escalated the matter to several group chats appealing to them to donate a wheelchair for Sharon.

“I got the wheelchair and took it to Sharon. She and her husband were so excited. I even took some of the nurses to Sharon and the nurses promised to do regular home visits. To make a difference in someone’s life must be a natural occurrence,’’ said Chame.
