Hoërskool Hugenote learners were back at school on Monday.
The school opened its doors early in the morning, with some learners arriving as early as 6.15am.
The school’s entry has a hand sanitiser and all visitors and learners are required to sign a form and have their temperatures measured.
All classrooms are fitted with hand sanitisers to ensure learners are able to keep their hands clean at all times.
School principal Frans Steyger says only four students will be allowed in the bathroom at one time and that learners are required to wear masks at all times.
Lines have been drawn on the ground around the areas in which the learners will move to ensure social distancing rules adhered to.
Steyger says: “We are living in a strange time, and there is a lot of work to do.
“But I trust that all of you will follow the rules and that we can work together and get through this as a team.”
Springs Boy’s and Springs Girl’s high schools also opened their doors on Monday.
